Knowledge Bridge
Type: Mixed-Use
Scale: 15000 sqm
Isfahan is known for its historical bridges, but the Knowledge Bridge project began with a simple question: How can we build a bridge for modern-day Isfahan that respects its history while offering a new experience?
In this city, bridges have two main functions: passage and observation. But we wanted to build a bridge that would go beyond these two functions. The Gateway of Knowledge is a bridge that not only takes you from one point to another but is a destination in itself.
This project transforms the bridge from a simple path into a space.
On historical bridges, the view is focused outwards, but at the Knowledge Bridge, we encounter layers of nature and technology that create a new and unexpected experience within. Here, your gaze is no longer focused outside the bridge but is drawn inwards.
Unlike old bridges where movement is monotonous, the cross-section of the Gateway of Knowledge bridge is designed so that every step reveals a new view and a different feeling. Ultimately, this project seeks to transform the bridge from a mere historical object into a dynamic and living platform for creating new experiences in a historic city.
