Masterplan of Grozny
Type: Master Plan – Mixed Use
Scale: 36000000 sqm
The Grozny Masterplan project was an ambitious idea to revive a city that had faced social and economic challenges for years. Our core question was: How can we rebuild a city that restores a sense of “home” for its residents?
We believe that cities, like people, have a soul. Our goal was to create a new urban framework that reestablishes the connection between people and their environment, as well as between community and nature.
The project is designed on three key principles:
- Transparency for Rebuilding Trust: By creating open and dynamic public spaces, we provide the groundwork for dialogue and reconciliation among different social groups. These urban spaces are places for people to gather and exchange experiences.
- The Integration of Nature and Technology: A “smart city” is created by leveraging the region’s unique natural potential. In this plan, new urban structures and green spaces are integrated with an intelligent system to enhance the quality of life.
- Education for the Future: By adding new scientific and cultural centers, the plan seeks to increase social awareness and promote new perspectives.
Ultimately, the main goal of the Grozny Masterplan is to rebuild trust and relationships within the city so that its residents can experience a high quality of life in peace. This project is not merely the reconstruction of a city, but the revival of a community and a “home.”
