Chitgar Connection Platform
Type: Mixed-use – Landscape
Scale: 250000 sqm
We perceive architecture as a “Socio-Economic Engine.” In a project of this scale, profitability is not a mere business goal but a prerequisite for urban vitality. Our manifesto is rooted in the “Architecture of Flows”; where the movement of the crowd is the primary building material—what we term “People Animate.” By blurring the boundaries between Lake Chitgar and the Forest Park, we reject the notion of the building as an isolated object. Instead, we propose an “Inhabited Infrastructure” that uses the elevated horizon as a belvedere, ensuring that the forest’s skyline remains untouched while the city breathes through a new, transparent lung.
The Chitgar Connecting Platform is a strategic intervention designed to heal the spatial rupture caused by the Hakim Highway. The core challenge was the physical disconnection and the site’s lower elevation relative to the lake. Our response is a “Geometrical Network of Health Paths” that elevates pedestrian and cycling circuits into a continuous observation deck. By raising the floor levels, the project transforms circulation into a “Belvedere,” granting users a panoramic view of the lake that was previously obscured.

The structure is conceived as a series of “Lifting Paths” that vacate the ground for public landscaping—such as flower gardens and play areas—while housing enclosed programs like food courts and sports facilities beneath their folds. To preserve the “Atmospheric Integrity” of the forest, a transparent glass envelope is utilized, acting as a mirror to the surrounding greenery and maintaining an uninterrupted visual axis. This project is a “Collective Unit”; a hybrid of green spaces and urban events that stitches the lifestyle of the North to the potential of the South, creating an inseparable synergy between man, nature, and capital.
